Join us at 6pm on Wednesday, 25 January, for our 2023 opening event hosted at the Fresnaye Sports Club.
As always, this social event is aimed at building the fly fishing and fly tying community. So, whether you’re an experienced angler or someone who has always wanted to give fly fishing, or tying, a go, please join us!
The event will open with a short fly casting demonstration by our good friend Andy van der Werff from The Fly Casting Coach. Andy will share some insights on fly casting fundamentals. To spice things up, we’ll have a casting competition where the winner will win an amazing prize!
For the keen fly tiers, protea angler Maddy Rich will be sharing two of his go-to streams patterns. Bring your vice, tools, and thread along and we’ll supply the rest. If you don’t have any fly tying tools or a vice and you’ve always wanted to give fly tying a go, please reach out to us and we’ll sort you out.
