Tying your first fly - don't be intimidated by fly shops

In this tutorial, we take your through the process of tying your first fly – the jig bugger. But we do it with a slight twist, we go through the shop and select the materials with you. We noticed many new tiers are overwhelmed by all the materials and that is totally unnecessary.

Material list:

Hook: Dohiku 302SP size 14 (but any strong size 14 jig hook will work – check out more options below)
Bead: Slotted 3.5mm Tungsten bead (choose any colour)
Thread: Textreme Power Thread 50 Denier Black (white can work too, then you can just colour the thread with a permanent marker – more options below)
Tail: Marabou in black
Body: Any long-fibered buggy dubbing (Fulling Mill Voodoo Streamer Dub, Hareline Bruiser Blend, Hareline Junior Bruiser Blend, Cohen’s Carp Dubbing)
