How to tie a Jig-Style MSP

It’s no secret that the MSP is one of the best Largemouth Yellowfish flies. We actually use it on a wide variety of other species too, including bass.

When we got our hands on the Ahrex SA254 Saltwater Jig hooks, we immediately started experimenting with them on Largemouth Yellowfish. This, the Jig-style MSP, is one of our favourites.

All fish below were caught on the exact pattern tied in the video. Also, all fish were caught using the new Vision 9ft 3inch 7wt Toka – an excellent rod in the sub-R4000 range.
