The Strike King KVD Ocho is a soft plastic stick bait built for versatility and finesse. Its eight-sided profile causes a subtle undulating action—notably on the drop or during slow falls—which makes it deadly in pressured waters. Whether you’re fishing dams, river flats, or structure-rich banks, rig it weightless, wacky or on a Carolina rig. It’s especially effective in South Africa when fish are spooky—impoundments like Loskop, Pongola, or Midmar—or when targeting largemouth or smallmouth bass, as well as species like carp or shade-feeding predators in low light.
Pressured / Clear Water Conditions: When bass or other predatory species are finicky, the Ocho’s subtle fall and reflective sides trigger bites when more aggressive lures won’t.
Versatile Rigging Options: Impoundments with structure (weedbeds, rock edges) respond well to wacky rigged or weightless presentation; Carolina rigs reach deeper water or areas with current.
