The Swing reel is Reel Fly Fishing’s newest addition and a brand new reel for 2025. Below are some specs, but what we love most about the reel is the following:

• Full cage design. This means that the reel is more sturdy and that the line cannot slip between the reel cage and spool.
• Another clever design on the reel is that the clutch bearing is accessible without the need of any tools. The screw cap that sits on the inside of the spool can simply be removed by hand, and the reel switched over from left to right or visa versa. Just remember to switch around the backing and fly line too.
