Red Rock River Camp offers a selection of two fishing locations. At each location, you will be guided by professional river guides who will safely navigate you through each section, set up camp for you each evening, and provide catering. Although you will not receive one-on-one fly-fishing guiding, the river guides have an excellent knowledge of each section and will take you to the best spots to target your required fish species.
Below, we discuss each location in more detail.
A moderate level of fitness is required for this 38km drift, more paddling is needed and you will experience more rapids that will be navigated during the drift. This section is more suitable for the adventurous angler looking to target largemouth yellowfish as you will have more rock structure and deeper holes to work with.
A 30km drifting and fishing experience with smaller rapids ideal for targeting Smallmouth Yellowfish with nymphing tactics. You will also experience deeper sections that will hold largemouth yellowfish.
This is ideal for anglers who want a calmer drifting experience and require a lower fitness level. During the drift, you can expect wildlife such as Gemsbok, Kudu and an abundance of birdlife with Fish Eagles calls being a highlight.
