The focus is on building confidence\, understanding the “why” behind the movements\, and giving you practical skills you can take straight to the water. \nWith a maximum of 6 participants\, this small-group format ensures plenty of individual attention and personalised feedback from our instructors. \nClinic details: \n\nCost: R650 per person\nTime: 10:00 – 13:00\n\nWhether you’re completely new to fly fishing or have struggled to get started on your own\, this clinic is the ideal first step into the world of fly casting in the beautiful Cape Winelands. \nVenue will be confirmed closer to the time\, but will be in the Paarl/Franschhoek/Stellenbosch area.

During this event we’ll cover a basic fly that has been working well for us and is an ideal fly to tie as your first fly. \nWe will also discuss the purpose of the club\, when the events will happen and what type of events the members would want to see. \nIf you have a fly tying vise\, bring it along with your tools\, we’ll cover the materials. Please note\, this won’t be a fly-tying only club and will rather look at fly fishing as a whole. \n\nWhen: 11 February 2026\, 18:30\nWhere: Groot Drakenstein Games Club\nCost: R50 (You will get a beer and fly tying material in return)\n\nTo book\, simply select the number of tickets you’d like to purchase below\, and checkout as per normal through the site.
