DESCRIPTION:For most people\, fly fishing seems like a strange pastime that old men in tweed jackets do where they swing a line over the water endlessly. This can’t be further from the truth as fly fishing has a young and vibrant community and it is one of the best ways to immerse yourself in nature. Yes\, it is a form of fishing\, and catching fish is mostly what it’s about\, but the more time you spend fly fishing the more you’ll realise it’s actually a lifestyle-orientated activity. \nThis introductory course will teach you the basics behind fly fishing and fly casting so that you have a better understanding of what it’s about. \nWhat the course will cover: \n\nWhat is the purpose of fly fishing and how is it different from other forms of fishing?\nWhat is a basic fly fishing setup?\nYou’ll learn some basic fly casting techniques\n\nBecause this course serves as an introduction\, we will supply all the gear needed. \nThis course is limited to 6 students.
