DESCRIPTION:Join us on Monday\, 4 September 2023\, 6pm at the Fresnaye Sports Club for our next social tying event. These social events aim to build the fly tying and fishing community and create a space where we can all learn from one another. If you’ve always wanted to give fly fishing and tying a go\, our social tying events are the place to be. \nFor this month’s event\, we’ve invited Tyrone Knight (check out his Instagram profile) to share one of his favourite flies for Garrick. He’ll also share some insights on how to target these special fish on fly. We will also have a couple of fly rods at the event that you can cast and will have a small casting competition. \nThis is a tie-along event\, so please bring your vice\, tools\, and thread along. We’ll cover the rest of the materials. If you don’t have a vice and want to give fly tying a go\, please reach out to us and we’ll sort you out. \nAs an added bonus\, the guys from the Zandvlei Recreational Angling Association will be there to tell you all about the conservation work they’ve been doing and planning. Also\, how you can get involved to protect this gem. \nThere will also be a selection of Garrick Flies for sale from the guys over at OG Fly Studio.
