SUMMARY:Social Tying Event - Alphlexo Crabs for Grunter
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Monday\, 5 June\, 6pm at the Fresnaye Sports Club for our next social tying event. These social events are aimed at building the fly tying and fishing community and create a space where we can all learn from one another. If you’ve always wanted to give fly fishing and tying a go\, our social tying events are the place to be. \nFor this month’s event\, Grunter whisperer and tickler of trout\, Luke van den Heever\, will be showing you exactly how he tie his Grunter Alphlexo Crabs. Alphlexo Crabs are super effective\, especially for Luke’s local grunter in Knysna\, but the trick is they need to be tied correctly. Luke will show you exactly how he ties his Alplexo Crabs for grunter\, giving you pointers along the way. \nThis is a tie-along event\, so please bring your vice\, tools\, and thread along. We’ll cover the rest of the materials. If you don’t have a vice and want to give fly tying a go\, please reach out to us and we’ll sort you out. \nBooking is essential and costs R250\, which includes the following: \n\nAll the fly tying material for the flies\, including extra to practice the pattern at home\nA boerewors roll and chips\nA beer\nEntry into the evening’s raffle\n\nThere’s also a non-tying option that costs R200\, which includes the following: \n\nA boerewors roll and chips\nA beer\nEntry to the evening’s raffle\n\nBookings close on Monday\, 5 June\, at 8am. \nWhy do we do online bookings?\nSome of you might wonder why we do online bookings\, and it’s a great question. We pre-pack all the materials and and want to ensure that each person receives their own fly tying pack.\nWe can manage to ordering of food a lot better\nProbably the main perk for you as a guest to one of our events is that you qualify for a 10% discount on any pre-orders.
